Positive about Disabled People is recognition from the Job Centre Plus that we, as an employer, have agreed to make certain positive commitments regarding the employment, retention, training and career development of disabled people.

The Mindful Employer

Led and supported by employers, the MINDFUL EMPLOYER® initiative is aimed at increasing awareness of mental health at work and providing support for businesses in recruiting and retaining staff.

Accredit

Accredit ensures that organisations are suitable to tender for public sector contract opportunities in terms of their legal, financial and technical capacity. To achieve Select Accredit status, companies are fully assessed by a third party to achieve full accreditation.

Business Against Bigotry

Business Against Bigotry is a long term initiative where companies across the North East have been asked to give a genuine pledge to good equality and diversity practice by openly challenging any form of bigotry in the workplace and by striving to create a working environment in which all employees are treated with dignity and respect.

Local Employment Partnerships

LEPs are a deal between the Government and local businesses to tackle the increasing recruitment and skills challenges of our labour market and economy. More than 5,000 employers across the country have already worked in partnership with Government to open up employment and training opportunities to disadvantaged jobseekers which
